Shipping policy

The Black Dragon Standard

We don’t just ship comics; we ship collectibles. We refuse to use flimsy, industry-standard mailers that lead to corner dings and spine stress.

  • Armor-Grade Packaging: We use reinforced, structural packaging designed to eliminate "play" and prevent bending.
  • Reinforced Boarding: Every book is bagged, boarded, and secured to maintain its grade.
  • Weather-Shielding: Engineered to protect your investment from the elements.

Fulfillment & Scheduling

We process and fulfill orders (picking, packing, and shipping) on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Business Days: We ship Monday through Friday.
  • Delivery Estimates: Your confirmation email includes an Estimated Delivery Date. Please note that all delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. Even during high-volume periods, packages typically arrive within this window, even if tracking hasn't updated immediately.

Domestic Shipping

  • Methods: We utilize USPS and UPS for all domestic shipments originating from Woodland, CA.
  • Tracking: Once your label is printed, tracking info is updated in "Your Account" within 24 hours.
  • Rates: Rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.
  • Free Shipping: We currently offer Free Economy Shipping on U.S. orders of $50+ (excluding certain oversized items).

Pre-Orders & Subscriptions

  • Main Covers: We do not charge upfront for pre-orders. You will receive an invoice once your items are in-stock and ready for fulfillment.
  • Ratio Variants: Requests are reviewed daily. We will provide a specific pricing offer upon request, which you can choose to accept or decline.
  • Availability: Ratio Variants are not guaranteed and depend entirely on publisher fulfillment.
  • Fulfillment Priority: Invoices for limited copies are sent on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority is given to the first customer who accepted the pricing offer for that specific variant.
  • Release Dates: Please note that all release dates are subject to change by the publisher.
  • Daily Monitoring: We review all pre-order and subscription requests daily to ensure your collection is secured as efficiently as possible.

Shipping Limitations & Claims

Our facility is not responsible for postal delays, transit rerouting, or carrier negligence. However, all shipments are backed by our logistics safety program. If your package is lost or arrives physically damaged, please refer to our Return and Refund Policy to open an investigation with our claims and inspection team.

International Orders

As of April 5th, 2025, Black Dragon Comics no longer accepts international orders.
