Shipping Policy

The Black Dragon Standard

We don’t just ship comics; we ship collectibles. We refuse to use flimsy, industry-standard mailers that lead to corner dings and spine stress.

  • Armor-Grade Packaging: We use reinforced, structural packaging designed to eliminate "play" and prevent bending.

  • Reinforced Boarding: Every book is bagged, boarded, and secured to maintain its grade.

  • Weather-Shielding: Engineered to protect your investment from the elements.

Fulfillment & Scheduling

We process and fulfill orders (picking, packing, and shipping) on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Business Days: We ship Monday through Friday.

  • Pre-Order Priority: Customers waiting 40–60 days for pre-orders move to the front of the queue once inventory arrives.

  • Delivery Estimates: Your confirmation email includes an Estimated Delivery Date. Even during high-volume periods, packages typically arrive within this window, even if tracking hasn't updated immediately.

Domestic Shipping

  • Methods: We utilize USPS and UPS for all domestic shipments originating from Woodland, CA.

  • Tracking: Once your label is printed, tracking info is updated in "Your Account" within 24 hours.

  • Rates: Rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.

  • Free Shipping: We currently offer Free Economy Shipping on U.S. orders of $60+ (excluding certain oversized items).

Pre-Orders & Backorders

  • Main Covers: We do not charge upfront; you will receive an invoice once the item is in-stock.

  • Ratio Variants/Third Party: Payment is collected upfront. These orders are processed once we physically receive the items. Please note release dates are subject to change by the publisher.

International Orders

As of April 5th, 2025, Black Dragon Comics no longer accepts international orders.
