Big News: Black Dragon Comics Partners with Publishers for Direct Shipping!

UPDATE: 6/29/2025

Well.. the app that we were using to work with these publishers as a direct ship to customers, has broken our primary app, Manage Comics, for the comic subscriptions and pre-orders. We are currently in the process of uninstalling one app so that the subscription app functions as intended.

Once that is complete we are going to be making a pre-order adjustment.

We will continue to have comics and graphic novels made available through our subscription and pre-order service like normal, which works more like a reservation, but in addition to that service we will be offering a Pay upfront Pre-Order for some items. Mostly Toys and Collectibles.

Hey Black Dragon Comics faithful!

We've got some exciting news we've been eager to share with you. Over the weekend, we started rolling out a brand-new initiative that's going to bring even more incredible comics and merchandise directly to your doorstep, while also supporting the indie publishers we love.

This is an expansion of how we do business, not a replacement! Our team continues to operate just as we always have, fulfilling orders and providing the service you've come to expect from Black Dragon Comics. This new program is simply adding to what we're able to offer you.

As many of you know, Diamond Comic Distributors' bankruptcy created significant challenges for smaller publishers trying to get their amazing work out to readers. We've been looking for ways to help, and we're thrilled to announce a new partnership model that does just that!

What Does This Mean for You?

We're now working directly with a growing number of publishers who will be fulfilling orders placed on our website directly. When you browse our site, you'll start seeing more and more items, including some we might not have been able to carry before.

Here's how it works:

• Direct from Publisher: If you order an item from one of these featured publishers, they'll be shipping it directly to you. This helps streamline the process and gets their fantastic products into your hands faster.
• Pre-Orders & Print-on-Demand: You'll find a wider selection of items, including pre-order items where publishers collect payment upfront. Don't worry, for all direct publisher pre-orders, you'll see a clear "pre-order" designation and an estimated ship date right in the product description. We'll also be featuring print-on-demand items, offering you access to even more unique titles.

This is a win-win: you get access to a broader range of comics and merchandise, and we get to help fantastic independent publishers reach a wider audience. We're incredibly excited about this new chapter and believe it will only strengthen the comic community.

We're just getting started, and as more publishers join us, you'll see our selection expand even further.
